The Till app
For the counter tablet, on Android.
Why an app rather than the website
Once installed, the till opens even without a network, keeps its sales safe from a browser clean-up, and drives a thermal printer over Bluetooth or cable.
Android 7 or later

It never changes from one version to the next. If the app you install shows a different fingerprint, it was not published by Alcess: do not install it.
How to install it
- 1Download the file onto the counter tablet.
- 2Open it. Android will ask you to allow installation from this source: accept.
- 3In your dashboard, open “Team & screens”, then link the till using the code it shows.
- 4Each team member then opens the till with their personal code.
In the kitchen and on the floor
The same app works as a kitchen or floor screen. On first launch, tap “This tablet is a kitchen or floor screen”, then pair it with the code it shows. It stays on, sounds without anyone touching the screen, and comes back on its own after a power or network cut.
What about iPad?
From a browser, the till cannot drive any printer on iPhone or iPad — neither over Bluetooth nor by cable: Safari does not open those connections, and no printer changes that. It sells, takes payment and numbers receipts as usual there; what is missing is printing the receipt. On Android, the app prints to any thermal printer. We therefore recommend an Android tablet at the counter.
You can also use the till in a browser, with nothing to install. /pos
